Our people are at the heart of everything we do at ITN. It’s vital that our workforce reflects the diversity of both our audience and the wider society in the UK, so we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities. We also recognise the importance of a good work life balance, so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working, including part-time and job shares for all our roles. Please just let us know in your application or at any stage throughout the process if this is something you want to explore.

Are you looking to make the most of your fantastic news programming or corporate video production track record?  Do you thrive in leading a production team, managing complex projects from start to finish?  Would you love to be part of an amazingly successful, professional, innovative team that values collaboration and takes enormous pride in creating outstanding programmes?

Industry News is a division of ITN Productions that produces broadcast-quality news-style programming in partnership with leading bodies and national associations representing different professions and industry sectors. The programmes are made up of in-depth interviews with industry leaders and influencers, independent news items covering key topics and issues, delivered alongside sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations. They provide constructive, accurate and positive storytelling in a compelling news-style format. A bespoke narrowcast campaign, using events, direct email distribution, press and social media ensures the entire industry sector, influencers and wider stakeholders engage with the content.

As the Senior Producer you will be leading and managing the production and delivery of industry-specific, news-style programmes for B2B audiences, really getting under the skin of the themes and issues affecting different industry sectors.  You will develop and manage the annual production plans, budgets and editorial programme content as well as acting as the key client contact. The three key elements of the role are:

    • Production and Programme Management
    • Client Management
    • Team and Process management

    • Leading and managing production teams in broadcast or corporate production including producers, production coordinators, presenters, camera crews, reporters and post productions teams
    • Managing large projects with multiple stakeholders including key client relationships
    • Editorial planning of programme content as well as script and treatment writing
    • Managing budgets
    • Managing multiple, and often international projects and delivering to deadlines
    • Working as part of a highly professional team

This could be for you if you have:

    • Great commercial skills
    • A calm approach under pressure, flexibility and resilience
    • Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills
    • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
    • Exacting standards of professionalism
    • Strong commercial awareness
    • Knowledge and experience of broadcast news, current affairs and reporting regulations surrounding due impartiality, accuracy and fairness
    • The ability to demonstrate our values: Trust, Innovation and Collaboration
