    Our mission is to explore key issues and themes in a multitude of sectors and bring them to life with interesting reports and stories from around the world. This role will be responsible for leading the production and delivery of industry-specific journalist led programs for audiences across a multitude of different sectors in the US, and really getting under the skin of the themes and issues affecting those sectors. This role will also be responsible for project management and managing relationships with all stakeholders, including industry partners, a very high number of clients, and production teams.



    • Development and implementation of yearly production plans to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
    • Leading and developing of themes and the editorial of assigned programs in conjunction with program directors and industry-leading organisations in the US
    • Structuring and writing the studio links for the program’s presenter
    • Editorial planning of program content, including editorial profiles as well as interviews with government officials/spokespeople and industry thought leaders
    • Booking and briefing camera crews, presenters, reporters and post production teams for shoots
    • Scheduling, booking and overseeing editing of clients’ news-style films and programs
    • Ensuring that all films comply with any relevant regulations and that consent forms are completed by the crews on every shoot
    • Commissioning VR news studio graphics
    • Directing and producing studio recordings
    • Direct and produce launch events/parties/screenings for the programs to run alongside industry conferences
    • Directing final program editing of  programs  supported by ITN Productions post services
    • Managing the budgets for individual films and for whole programs/corporate productions and ensure that all costs are within budget.
    • Overall quality control of programming and distribution of all output


    • The producer is the main point of contact, working with numerous high-end clients at any one time, at different stages of the production process to produce news-style reports for inclusion in the program
    • You will lead client briefing meetings – then develop and write treatments, produce call sheets with meticulous detail
    • You will be responsible for liaising with and managing expectations of clients through all stages of the production of their films and ensure that these clients are satisfied with the services provided
    • You will ensure client approval is achieved throughout the process - on treatment, scripts, films, graphics and programs


    • Responsibility for smooth running of workflows, spotting trends, issues and opportunities for improvement
    • Support for training / development of production staff
    • Supporting VP of Program Development USA and Corporate Programming Directors with production solutions for business development
    • Support recruitment of production staff and freelance
      Support product development (distribution and production)


    • A solid production background and experience leading a production team in broadcast news or a corporate production environment
    • Highly organised with the ability to manage large projects with multiple stakeholders. Must be able to produce and stick to complex plans, and guide others in the team where necessary
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach to building and maintaining relationships
    • Strong and demonstrable skills in script and treatment writing
    • Commercial awareness and business acumen
    • Hands on client management  and client facing experience, with a commitment to customer service
    • Experience managing budgets and delivering complex projects on budget and to tight deadlines
    • Knowledge and experience of broadcast news and current affairs, and reporting regulations surrounding due impartiality, accuracy and fairness
    • Calm under pressure with the ability to adapt and be flexible in task and role, working quickly and accurately with limited supervision
    • The ability to prioritise effectively

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Enthusiastic and a team player
    • Prepared to travel across the US for meetings if required, sometimes working anti-social hours.
