    The Head of Industry News will lead the growth and development of this business unit within ITN Productions.  The role will have overall responsibility for developing and implementing business strategy to drive continued success and profitability.   It will involve managing all aspects of the business, including Sales, Marketing and Production activities, as well as creating and managing partnerships with leading Associations and professional bodies.


    • Develop and implement the business strategy for Industry News in conjunction with the Managing Director of DCS.
    • Lead the Industry News senior management team to achieve the overall objectives of the business, focusing on high performance, collaboration, creativity and business improvement. 
    • Take the lead role in developing relationships with new and existing Association partners, with a focus on retention and client satisfaction.    Relationships need to be at CEO level within these Associations. 
    • Develop and enhance the Industry News proposition and maximise the opportunities within each partnership.
    • Develop ways to enhance the editorial and creative style of Industry News programmes. 
    • Communicate the Industry News proposition acting as the ambassador for the business in the marketplace.
    • Continuously stay in tune with the market through relevant research and identify trends and new business opportunities.
    • Optimise the sales plan for the Programme Director team throughout the year and drive sales to ensure the team achieve set revenue targets monthly, quarterly and annually.
    • Ensure Industry News programmes are set up correctly and on time, ensuring the distribution strategy and activities for each programme are in place. 
    • Foster a culture of transparency, knowledge sharing and collaboration across all the teams in the UK and US.
    • Be an inspiring and motivational leader.

    • Excellent understanding and experience of business strategy and planning.
    • Proven and effective business development skills.
    • Commercial leadership and account management experience.
    • Experience of the UK Association market is preferential. 
    • Natural commercial instinct and hunger to drive commercial advantage.
    • Experience in negotiating contract agreements.
    • Proven track record of successful achievement with C-level executives.
    • Sound planning and organisational skills.
    • Ability to think innovatively and constantly challenge – striving for commercial success at all times.
