The main functions of this role are to act as business partner to the Technology Division and to manage Technology costs, including their allocation across the various business units within ITN. The role will provide support to the Group Financial Controller and various department heads, including the CTO, by performing management accounting responsibilities and providing ad-hoc analysis to aid decision making.
The Director of Corporate Communications is a member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for the development and implementation of ITN's PR strategy, corporate positioning and employee communications. This is a critical role to act as guardian and gatekeeper of ITN’s brand and visual identity, helping to steer ITN through the next phase of its evolution as it continues to grow, diversify and change.
A key requirement is to promote ITN as a dynamic, pioneering and customer focused content business, with major news gathering operations and strong growth businesses in the TV, advertising, digital news, education and corporate content markets. You will develop an outstanding communications strategy to support growth and scale, alongside acting as an influential leader to the Corporate Communications team.
A second area of importance is internal communication with ITN staff. The CEO and other members of the senior leadership team will look to you to demonstrate momentum in developing and communicating the vision, values and purpose of ITN in the current landscape, with a focus on driving collaboration and creating dialogue internally.
ITN has a high profile in the UK media sector and its voice is listened to. The successful candidate will need to manage continuing lobbying efforts with government, parliament, Ofcom and the media.

They must also appreciate the importance of social media and work with our correspondents in promoting our content online.
The role involves producing and editing video packages for an online audience as well as logging and on-passing raw footage to other media organisations. It will involve logging and editing ITN material for syndication purposes to international broadcast and digital clients. It requires accuracy, attention to detail, sound news judgement and editing skills.
Our mission is to explore key issues and themes in industry and bring them to life with interesting reports and stories from around the world. This role will be responsible for assisting in the production and delivery of industry-specific news-style programmes for B2B audiences across several different sectors in the UK.
This role will also be responsible for shoot and edit planning, project management and managing relationships with all stakeholders, including industry partners a very high number of clients as well as other members of the production team, reporters and camera operators.
