We are looking for a Foreign Affairs producer to join Channel 4 News foreign unit.
The candidate will be reporting to the Head of Foreign News and working alongside Foreign Correspondents, multi-skillers, independent film-makers and other contributors to produce high standard, original, in depth, distinctive Foreign Coverage for our main programme and for all the digital outlets of Channel 4 News.
The candidate will have to be able to show a deep interest for foreign news, come-up with story ideas, be available to travel on a short notice and occasionally be deployed to high risk environments.
The role involves high interpersonal quality skills required for the ability to lead teams under high pressure. It also involves a marked dedication and talent for newsgathering as well as the capacity to support and help shaping packages and longer form features from the scripting to the editing to the standards of the Channel 4 News output.
To shoot and edit stories to the highest standard, from actuality to transmission, and give editorial and technical assistance as required.
To fulfil a number of editorial and logistical roles for the ITV News Home and Foreign Desks, working on location and supporting output and digital teams.
This position fulfils a number of newsgathering roles across the Channel 5 news and planning desks. You will assist our News Editors and planning team across TV and digital output to chase and secure content and guests, and assign resources. The successful candidate will be proactive in finding story elements, understand the 5 News agenda and have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver distinctive programmes. You must also appreciate the importance of social media and work with our correspondents in promoting our content online
The researcher will be tasked with coming up with ideas for the programme’s debates, thoroughly researching guests and topics, liaising with panellists, as well as writing briefs and on-air graphics. They will also be required to secure additional guests for discussions, support the programme producer in all aspects of the show’s production, and select callers to go on air. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, organised, meticulous and thrive under pressure.
This role is only until December 31st but there may be an opportunity for extension.
A junior multi-skilled camera operator who is capable of filming and editing reports on a wide range of news stories and features. A broadcast news professional that has some experience of television news with an ability to shoot high quality pictures.
In conjunction with another Operations Co-ordinator and working under the team leadership of the Production Manager, to provide financial, operational and administrative support to Management in the smooth running of a busy newsroom, including planning, managing and amending rosters as well as multiple cost sheets.
We’re looking for ambitious multimedia journalists to join our digital team in central London and be part of one of Britain’s most exciting newsrooms. The roles will work across breaking news and analysis on the ITV News website/app and social media, producing high-quality written content on the biggest news agendas. The successful candidate will have experience of writing for a national or big regional title, have a strong understanding of producing news for search, social and direct audiences, have some experience of working with video and a good understanding of Ofcom guidelines.
This role contains varied early and late shifts, and includes weekends. Experience working with video and original news picture is not essential, but there will be the expectation that multimedia producers will go on to clip, edit and occasionally create video for all platforms.
Being able to work at our central London offices is essential.

This role will create video aimed specifically for young audiences distributed on ITV News' social platforms including Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok, as part of a team dedicated to producing youth content. The products the producer will be working on include The Rundown, our award-winning daily news service for 14-17 year olds, plus a new range of content aimed at the 18-24 audience due to roll out in early 2022.
For The Rundown, you'll produce a daily news round-up to deadline, so the ability to confidently edit in Adobe Premiere with graphic templates is essential, alongside being full of story ideas that suit the Rundown audience and the ability to write stories in an engaging way for the 14-17 audience.
For the 18-24 service, you'll create compelling and visually engaging videos, explainers and social posts, plus curate the best of ITV News' television journalism for the 18-24 audience on social. You'll also create videos on topics and issues close to the heart of that age group. You’ll also create bespoke content for our TikTok channel.
The ideal candidates will be able to come up with great ideas, storyboard videos and use motion graphics to produce videos that grab and hold the attention of young people on their mobiles - and you'll have the experience and showreel to demonstrate this.
For both the Rundown and 18-24 content, there will be an element of presenting/voicing over video, alongside the editing, producing and filming which make up the majority of the role - previous on-screen experience isn't essential but if you have any examples of on-screen work, please include them with your application.
The role will be based in our London newsroom and involves a shift pattern which includes weekend working.
ITV News is seeking a Producer, based in Wales and the West of England, to drive our coverage outside of London. We require someone with a passion for breaking news, a hunger to discover distinctive content in Wales and the West of England and an understanding of the ITV National News audience. The successful candidate should also have a strong understanding of how to deliver for digital platforms as well.
